Education From elementary through secondary, Brevard County Schools offers students high quality education with many hands on experiences outside the classroom. The Charter Schools, Schools of Choice and numerous private schools, gives many educational opportunities to the students of Brevard. The County’s school system is consistently ranked above the state average and offers innovative programs and creative teachers.

For continuing ones education, Brevard Community College have campuses located throughout the county, Florida Institue of Technology and an extension campus of the University of Central Florida provide excellent opportunities for all types of students and learning.
Recreation Brevard is home to every sport imaginable, seek and you shall find. Whether you prefer watching or participating, - there's lots to do. With its 72 miles of beaches and its local waterways, water activities are a major attraction. From exploring Canaveral National Seashore in the north to Sebastian Inlet State Park in the south, the Parks and Recreation Department has numerous parks & activities for you to enjoy.
The pleasant climate provides ample opportunities for all warm weather sports. With 22 (and counting) beautifully managed golf courses you are sure to find at least one to your liking. Golfers from all over Central Florida and beyond are excited about the New Duran Golf Club in Viera. This is a course that has been built with the wishes of passionate golfers like you in mind.
The year-round great weather also makes tennis a perfect pastime. The Space Coast Tennis League (SCTL) has several teams in each of their eight different levels offering players in all levels the opportunity to join in the fun.
There are many Country Clubs, both private and public for golf, tennis, and socializing.
Port Canaveral’s thriving cruise ship business along with the Kennedy Space Center provides wonderful recreational opportunities and the Maxwell C. King Center for the performing Arts provides a wide variety of musical and theatrical activities on a year round basis. In addition, the Brevard Zoo tickles the delight of young and old. The Brevard County’s Library System fulfills its goal of enriching your life by maintaining 18 convenient locations in the county, all offering excellent programs and a wide variety of actvities for young and old.
